From August 19 to 20, 2021, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Ningxia Medical University (NMU) and other mainland universities jointly held the "3rd Seminar on the Inheritance and Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Belt and Road and the Greater Bay Area". Affected by the epidemic, the symposium was held online and offline. Niu Yang, deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee of NMU, attended the seminar, and nearly 300 young and middle-aged scholars in related fields attended the seminar.
22 experts from Hong Kong and the mainland's were invited in the Seminar and 22 lectures were held. These lectures covered basic and clinical research of traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine for the treatment of variant of the virus and traditional Chinese medicine in the "area" under the environment of business development, etc. The current problems existing in the development of traditional Chinese medicine and the future development direction was discussed, and at the same time, a roundtable discussion on the role and possible contribution of government, industry, universities and research institutes in TCM inheritance and internationalization was also held.
The convening of this congress is a vivid practice of implementing the building of a healthy China and promotingthe development of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
